EFV CHANGELOG

Change log

Document every improvement and stay up to date on EFV’s latest advancements.

  1. Added website management as another subsystem embedded in EFVCMS. Bind a domain in seconds, request SSL automatically and renew automatically. Together with folder management and server monitoring, EFVCMS can essentially serve as a control panel.
  2. Adaptive m3u8 now supports all players.
  3. Fixed a cache-related BUG preventing encrypted images from displaying.
  4. bt management downloads files directly from uploaded torrent files.
  5. Folder management publishes all images in a folder as a gallery, either from the current folder or its operation menu. Searches unlimited nested folders for jpg, png and jpeg, sorts by filename, generates poster 1 and poster 2 and publishes. Details.
  1. Added system-level file management to browse any folder and queue videos for transcoding. Restrict accessible directories and enable deletion through configuration (to prevent misuse). View zip/rar contents and extract rar/zip archives online, (useful for offline downloads).
  2. Added global ASS effects subtitles for animated text watermarks and scrolling text. They work alongside image, scrolling, text, moving-image, flashing-text and gif watermarks. Add your own effects subtitles to burn automatically during transcoding.
  3. Rewrote imports to handle any volume of videos, posters and subtitles reliably. Same-named images become poster 1 and 2.
  4. Watermark/scrolling-text removal adapts coordinates to resolution. Videos with the same mark position but different resolutions use one template; usually one portrait and one landscape template suffice.
  5. Editing, detailed editing and series creation detect duplicate video/series titles as they are entered and warn immediately.
  6. Added filters and refined small details.
  1. Completed automatic RSS downloads, compatible with 90% of rss subscriptions. Configure keywords, required match counts, file sizes and extensions for precise downloads, then automatically transcode, categorize and publish to built-in CMS, third-party CMS or an api notification endpoint (for external m3u8 retrieval). Demo.
  2. Bundled 9 fonts with live previews in settings for selecting scrolling-text and text-watermark fonts.
  3. Video/series management displays release regions for classification.
  4. Improved static/animated watermark uploads to prevent rare deletion of another watermark when deleting one of multiple same-named uploads.
  5. Improved m3u8/segment caching to prevent slow application of dynamic ts ads and distribution routes. <This m3u8 issue affected only 2022-01-24; users of that version should update.>
  1. Added automatic subtitle extraction. When enabled, videos such as mkv with subtitle streams extract and burn subtitles during transcoding, identifying and prioritizing Chinese subtitles.
  2. Improved fast slicing of files with multiple audio, video and subtitle streams: use only the first audio/video stream for better compatibility.
  3. Batch renaming supports regular expressions for irregular episode-name strings.
  4. Publishing/deleting videos immediately refreshes the CMS home cache.
  5. Added confirmation dialogs before deleting videos/series.
  6. Video/series editing fills default data to prevent submission failures.
  7. Web uploads batch-upload same-named posters/subtitles for automatic handling during transcoding.
  8. Uploads support automatic categorization.
  9. Supports goodpay; payment systems using Alipay-style signature validation can integrate with minor modifications.
  10. API2/GETCONTENTS adds creation-date ranges to retrieval of all data types.
  11. Added announcements and announcement API.
  12. Added batch category deletion.
  13. Voucher top-ups are recorded as orders for management and referral tracking.
  1. Fixed a transcoding BUG when only one fullscreen bouncing-image watermark existed.
  2. (Affected the 2 versions released this month; updating is strongly recommended.) Fixed a rare BUG causing transcoding/fast slicing to stall when extracting embedded subtitles from mkv and similar files.
  3. Rewrote built-in CMS referrals to bind referred users permanently and immediately award a percentage commission on their top-ups.
  1. Updated browser compatibility for the latest Apple systems and revised preview logic.
  2. Added targeted torrent seeding. Select a completed video, choose a resolution and set its P2P torrent name. For existing users without retained transcoded mp4, the system merges m3u8 into mp4 automatically before seeding.
  3. Seed multiple videos into one torrent, suitable for complete series with a custom P2P name. Missing transcoded mp4 files are assembled automatically; batch seeding renames each mp4 using its video title.
  4. Imports filter unwanted extensions from server videos.
  5. Retranscoding requeues videos after application restarts, transcoding errors or existing-folder issues without uploading the source again.
  6. Batch title modification replaces matching keywords across selected videos, especially useful for series.
  7. Improved cdn using buff streams for origin segments, increasing stability and reducing resources.
  8. APP integrates Yipay, vip purchases, previews and full member playback.
  9. Replacing slow-rendering components improves APP smoothness by 2 to 3 times; try browsing the APP.
  10. APP status bars are fully transparent, matching APPBAR without a color difference.
  1. Added live scrolling comments synchronized with room chat in both directions for a true interactive live room.
  2. Separated user-related modules for easier customization.
  3. Subtitle extraction now takes only srt and ass, skipping other formats for compatibility.
  4. Fixed built-in CMS downloads failing to merge encrypted segments into mp4. Improved /apifluent/savestream to assemble specified m3u8 into mp4, including encrypted m3u8 segments.
  5. Pre-transcoding previews display video/audio codecs and subtitle streams, (identifying subtitles and languages in mkv for screening before processing).
  6. Added scheduled route switching. Tests show ordinary servers handle HD bandwidth most of the time, but congestion occurs from 9:30—12:30. Configure routes switching at 9:30 pm and 12:30 am: use an expensive, higher-quality CDN in the first interval and a cheaper route afterward. With our new CDN, this saves over 50% of operating costs.
  7. Our CDN is permanently free with maintenance/updates and fully automatic installation. It includes a CDN node system and CDN controller, monitoring hundreds of vps as CDN segment nodes. Features include:
  8. The cdn cache hit rate is 100%: segments accessed through a cdn domain are cached 100% on the cdn server.
  9. Cache capacity is limited to 80% of total disk capacity. Caching stops above 80% and resumes below 80%, protecting other processes.
  10. Automatically clear segments unused for a configurable period, such as 1 day, combined with capacity limits.
  11. Hotlink protection limits playback through the cdn domain to specified websites.

Eight: Other improvements.

  1. Fixed bitrate calculation in the latest update: when configured bitrate exceeds source bitrate, dynamically transcode using source bitrate to minimize output size.
  1. Rewrote the metadata retrieval api for actors, directors, writers and posters, reducing queries from hundreds of milliseconds to 30MS for a much faster experience.
  2. Besides Douban links, metadata searches accept film names and release years for precision, for example 僵尸道长@1995 (Vampire Expert, released in 1995).
  3. Improved metadata-retrieval descriptions.
  1. Added animated git watermarks, burning any animated effects image into video with configurable start/duration.
  2. Added randomly flashing text watermarks every n seconds, with start, duration, interval and flashing interval within each active period, repeated continuously.
  3. Improved MKV subtitle extraction: detect and prioritize Chinese; otherwise extract the first subtitle.
  4. Improved MKV subtitle-burning priority: manually uploaded same-named srt or ass files take precedence, skipping extraction even when mkv contains subtitles.
  5. Fixed occasional deletion failures for seeded/downloaded files in bt management.
  6. Animated and flashing-text watermark example: Play video.
  1. Automatically detect subtitle streams, extract the first default stream as ASS and burn it during transcoding. Supports any video format with embedded subtitles.
  2. Episode addition checks series publication status first; unpublished series are not automatically sent to the publishing system.
  1. Added offline downloads with automatic tracker updates, extension/size filtering and immediate automatic transcoding after download.
  2. Added automatic seeding of retained transcoded mp4, generating magnet and torrent files. Advertising files can be included during seeding.
  3. Scheduled publishing supports uncategorized videos for third-party Mac cms, built-in cms and api publishing.
  4. Improved transfer of all video data to Mac cms, including series update/completion states.

  12. Bilibili-style expandable playback titles and descriptions.

Details: View update.

  1. Improved code while retaining stability. Previously single-threaded operation now defaults to half the server's supported maximum threads, with configurable thread counts for maximum concurrency.
  2. Video management combines sorting with category/status filters. Four orders: newest/oldest and highest/lowest playback count.
  3. Order management adds pagination.
  4. Added an alternative separated cms with a youtube layout. Rewrote the separated cms api, replaced polka with expressjs, optimized the separated cms for mobile and added PWA installation to phone desktops as a quick app. Details.
  5. Separated CMS recreates APP styling, matching native APP experiences in quick-app/mobile-browser modes. Playback and comics pages are optimized; comics use Intersection Observer API lazy loading to reduce memory and bandwidth.
  6. Added paypal. Set paypal client ID and secret in administration to enable paypal payments in the youtube separated cms; see the demo.
  1. Automatic transcoding polling defaults to 45s, with configurable intervals.
  2. Player posters and timeline thumbnails support references from other domains.
