20-hour update: publish folders as galleries, upload torrents in BT management, and fix rar archives over 2GB
This update may appear small, but it is useful for those who need these workflows. BT management now supports downloading directly by uploading torrent files, which include complete trackers and generally download faster. Folder management can publish all images in a folder as a gallery in two ways: publish images in the currently open folder, or use the Publish action beside a folder. We also fixed viewing and extraction of rar archives larger than 2GB.
Updates
- One: Fixed adaptive-playlist compatibility; all players are now supported.
- Two: Fixed a caching-related
BUGthat prevented encrypted images from displaying. - Three:
btmanagement now supports direct downloads by uploading torrent files. - Four: Folder management now publishes all images in a folder as a gallery. Added actions for publishing images in the current folder and publishing through a folder's action menu. The system also recursively searches every subfolder for
jpg, pngandjpegimages, sorts them by filename, generates posters1and2, and publishes the gallery.
Use cases
Why add folder-to-gallery publishing to folder management?
First, RSS subscriptions can download gallery resources automatically, but many arrive as rar or zip archives. After downloading, use folder management to extract them into folders, then publish each folder's images as galleries in batches.
Second, if built-in downloading does not meet your needs, write a crawler to save images automatically into any folder. An administrator can then conveniently update galleries each day using folder-to-gallery publishing.
Third, users can upload galleries or gallery archives in batches to a server folder through ftp tools, then publish them in batches through folder management.
Once you become accustomed to EFVCMS folder management, switching between many separate applications feels cumbersome. It currently supports archive-content viewing, extraction, adding videos to the transcoding queue, publishing a folder's images and publishing all images in the current folder. Advanced features such as publishing audio-file lists as audio programs will be added later.
