Automatic removal of inserted m3u8 ads in the download center and m3u8 preview extraction from multiple TS positions

We have added a number of features recently. This post lists some of them, mainly improvements to preview M3U8 playlists, the download center and dynamic segment ads.

One: stronger hotlink and download protection

Improved timestamp-based hotlink protection and added strict download protection to help prevent third-party tools and browser extensions from detecting and downloading video resources.

Two: automatic ad-segment removal during downloads

Improved ad-segment removal in the download center. Previously, users needed to configure rules manually, which many found difficult. This update automatically detects and removes ad segments from m3u8 playlists during downloads, requiring no configuration and offering very high accuracy.

Three: improved fast slicing logic

Improved fast slicing processing: avoid transcoding whenever possible and slice directly. When a video uses H.264 or H.265 but its audio is not in AAC format, only the audio is transcoded, completely skipping video transcoding. This can greatly reduce processing time, especially for high-resolution videos, and covers most common video formats.

Four: preview extraction from multiple positions

Previously, previews could only contain a section from the beginning of a video. You can now extract sections from different positions and combine them. For example, select TS segments at 10%, 50% and 90% of the video duration to create a new preview M3U8, allowing users to quickly sample the video's overall content.
