Smart video trimming, gallery import, and further improvements

The new features in this update can multiply efficiency in many common workflows. Smart video trimming, for example, extracts the specified section automatically during upload and retains only the trimmed video. Many videos have unwanted intros and outros whose lengths vary between files, making this useful. For a file named 视频1.mp4, change the name to 视频1@00.00.15-00.02.30@.mp4 to retain only the section from 00:00:15 to 00:02:30 during upload. This makes automatic intro and outro removal straightforward. For gallery import, the archive-extraction logic and natural sorting have been rewritten. Most archive types and almost all image filenames are supported, avoiding incorrect ordering such as 1,2,3,10. Place archives in the ruku_images folder and use one-click import in the administration interface to extract and import them automatically.

Feature updates

  • One: Smart video trimming supports automatic trimming of administration-interface uploads and remote trimming through an API. Developers can upload videos to cloud storage, call the API to trim them remotely, and receive transcoding results at the notification domain. Rename a video to specify its trim range; the administration interface recognizes it automatically. This is particularly useful for removing intros and outros of different lengths or extracting required clips. For example, rename 视频.mp4 to 视频@00.01.02-00.10.30@.mp4. After upload, the segment from 00:01:02 to 00:10:30 is extracted and the original file is deleted.
  • Two: Added gallery import to the administration interface. Most archive types are supported, and natural sorting has been rewritten to handle almost all image filenames automatically, preventing incorrect ordering such as 1,10,2,20. Upload gallery archives to the gallery-import folder, then import and publish them in one action.
