Global IP lookup, ISP-based delivery routes, country-specific access controls, and rewritten built-in cloud-storage distribution

This update provides more precise delivery-route control. A complete set of Chinese IP ranges is included, allowing the visitor's ISP to be identified from their IP and the appropriate M3U8 delivery route returned. For example, China Mobile users receive the China Mobile route, while China Unicom users receive the China Unicom route. IP filtering identifies the visitor's country from their IP and can block users from any one or multiple countries. Smart cloud-storage distribution has been completely rewritten and supports most commonly used cloud and object storage services: Qiniu, Upyun, Cloudflare r2 object storage, Amazon s3, Huawei Cloud, minio, bunny object storage, Alibaba Cloud OSS, wasabi and Google Cloud Storage.

Updates

  • One: Built-in global IP database lookup identifies the visitor's ISP from their IP and returns the corresponding m3u8 route. China Mobile, China Telecom and China Unicom users receive their respective routes; other users receive the default route. Responses take milliseconds. This feature can reduce operating costs by more than 40%!
  • Two: Identify visitors' countries by IP and block selected countries from accessing the CMS, M3U8 playlists, screenshots and all other resource URLs. This can also serve as a temporary, indirect measure against CC attacks from certain regions.
  • Three: Cloud-storage distribution has been completely rewritten and integrated into the program. It now supports Qiniu, Upyun, Cloudflare r2 object storage, Amazon s3, Huawei Cloud, minio, bunny object storage, Alibaba Cloud OSS, wasabi and Google Cloud Storage, with more services to be added as needed. It can synchronize and distribute hundreds of millions of files while precisely controlling resource consumption and whether source files are deleted.
  • Four: Added a video-management check for whether videos have been added to the system, a gallery check for expected image counts, and other minor features and improvements not listed here.
