Commercial EFV cloud video drive beta completed: the future is social sharing
After a great deal of work, the video-focused EFV cloud drive is complete. Its strongest feature is generating share links. Every user can share videos from their drive through a link with an access code and expiry, similar to Baidu Netdisk. The video drive supports social sharing, blog sharing and resource-site sharing. Its built-in social aspect can quickly increase registrations and views.
Features
- One: Advanced resumable uploads support videos in any format. Closing the site, an application crash or a network disconnection does not prevent resuming. Even after a server failure and restart, uploads can resume.
- Two: Advanced share links include access codes and configurable expiry. Visitors enter the correct code on the retrieval page to preview the video, with a reminder that saving it to their own drive enables full playback. Users register, save the shared video to their drive, then watch it in full. Testing indicates that this workflow can maximize retention and registration. The implementation is complex: it checks whether the file exists in the user's drive, whether they are signed in, and dynamically generates preview
m3u8playlists. Further technical details are omitted here. - Three: Video management supports batch conversion of videos into cloud-drive files assigned to a user account. Users can then see all publicly available videos in the drive's video center.
- Four: An original
UIbuilt withnextjs,tailwindcss3.0,reactandtypescript, offering high speed and efficiency with full mobile andPCsupport.
Cloud-drive use cases
- One: Videos uploaded by users can be converted and published to the
CMSandAPPin one action, making the drive a pool for collecting video resources. - Two: Share links have many practical uses: post them in
QQgroups, WeChat groups, Weibo and other social platforms, or publish resources on blogs and film websites. All pages are rendered withJS, which the original system presents as avoiding mistaken detection. Sharing can quickly attract users, views and registrations, while the video center helps retention. Users also share links with their own friends and communities, bringing further traffic. - Three: Strong potential for monetization through memberships or ads. Membership revenue can be expanded by adding storage-capacity or daily full-video viewing limits. Ads can be added as video watermarks and scrolling text, or as code on playback pages.
- Four:
CPSpromotion can be added later. Users apply to become promoters and distribute share links. New users who retrieve videos through their links and codes are attributed to them, and revenue generates a commission. This resembles Baidu Netdisk's promotion system.
Future development
Add VIP memberships, ads, CPS agents, and share-link generation for multiple videos.
