Monthly update roundup: rewritten tag management, domain and server management, cloud drive, universal XML subscriptions, and automatic API retries in every APP

In fact, there has been an update roughly every two days, but they were too frequent to write individual logs. Here is a roundup of the last half-month. Future updates may be less frequent.

APP

Some users host their servers overseas and experience severe packet loss during evening peaks, leaving users stuck in the APP interface or data missing. After investigating, I added automatic retries to the APP source: any failed API request is retried three times. This largely resolves the network issue in the APP. I am also considering fully encrypted API data that the APP decrypts after retrieval, but that is for later.

CMS/APP

• One: Completely rewrote tag management using datatables, an advanced table plugin that was new to me. It supports sorting every table field, changing the number of displayed records, fast ajax data retrieval and built-in search. I also customized tag creation, editing and batch deletion. The results are good, and I learned something new.
• Two: Some RSS feeds, such as the XML from MacCMS CMS, have malformed RSS and cannot be used with ordinary rss subscriptions. I developed a universal XML subscription feature supporting all types of XML, with simple configuration.

Subsystems and operation

Added a cloud drive, which you may already have seen on the homepage. I call it a collaborative cloud-transcoding drive. It uses a modern resumable-upload protocol and accepts any file content. Administrators can enable drive access for selected users, assigning one directory per user or sharing a directory among several users. Users can add drive videos to the transcoding queue, publish all images in a folder as galleries or comics, view most archive formats and extract most archive types. It suits collaborative operation or trusted users with agreed benefits. Possible future additions include mp4 downloads, m3u8 downloads, batch downloads, magnet/bt offline downloads and automatic categorization.

BUG fixes

Resolved special-character issues in scrolling text and text watermarks. Fixed various BUG issues in administration server and domain management: any number of domains can now be bound, all can automatically obtain and renew SSL certificates. Fixed automatic RSS update issues: an RSS subscription can now be linked to a series, with automatic downloading, transcoding and episode addition, leaving the whole process unattended.
