Major 2021-6 update: detailed per-video transcoding logs and dozens of refinements

This release combines dozens of updates accumulated over a month. Some users follow the website and assume there are no updates when no changelog appears, but we update every week even when we do not write a post. This roundup covers the past month, with three main areas: administration and convenience refinements; built-in Caihong Yipay and separate payment-integration files requiring only minor changes to support other providers; and detailed per-video transcoding logs showing every system operation transparently.

Changelog

Fixed playback failures on some mobile browsers when the built-in cms or administration m3u8 preview plays disguised segments.

Fixed occasional display issues on the Locoy collection page.

Fixed search and pagination within series.

Added one-click duplicate-title detection for films and series to simplify deletion.

Fixed a BUG preventing Fengji collections from being deleted.

Fixed pagination display in the separate cms and improved mobile collection display.

Added built-in Caihong Yipay support.

Separated payment-integration files so developers can connect any payment provider.

Added a chunk-upload api returning an id for constructing m3u8 URLs, screenshot URLs and related information in advance.

Added bunnyCDN to cloud distribution, synchronizing segments and screenshots for CDN-accelerated playback.

Downloads now support a category setting for automatic import into a selected category after completion.

Detailed editing now allows any screenshot to be chosen as the cover.

Added download-center filters for downloading, completed and failed tasks.

Added an uncategorized filter to video management.

Added batch unpublishing in video management. Published videos or those in intv status can return to the transcoding-complete state.

Notification endpoints now support multiple domains, sending video information, screenshots, animations and m3u8 URLs to any number of domains at publication.

Major feature: detailed per-video transcoding logs. Each video's complete processing history includes timestamps precise to the second, start and completion times, and the resolution currently being transcoded. If a step fails, its complete transcoding parameters appear in the log, making the previously opaque workflow transparent to administrators.

Reasons for the update

Many refinements came from user suggestions. We organized them and implemented those that improve convenience.

Payment providers differ, but all share three main parts: md5 processing that generates a sign, the payment submission endpoint and parameters, and the parameters and required data returned by asynchronous payback notifications. I separated these into three independent files, which can be edited to integrate any payment API.

For logs, many users did not know how the system processes videos. The original efv global log lived in the root directory and recorded only errors; some administrators could not access the server to read it. I spent considerable time designing detailed per-video logs covering the full process with second-level timestamps. Administrators can view each video's processing log directly. If a step fails, all its transcoding parameters are recorded, so copying the log to support enables quick diagnosis.
