EFV Advanced APP download permissions purchased with points, background downloads and download management completed

In the dedicated EFV APP, point-based download permissions and viewing are core features, requiring careful design. Downloads do not require retaining any MP4. The system checks whether a downloadable file exists; if not, it assembles a download mp4 in seconds. The APP uses Android and Apple background-download systems, letting users continue browsing and watching other APP content. Progress appears in notifications; tap completion notifications to play. Completed files also appear in the phone gallery. A built-in APP download manager supports retrying failures, deleting records together with local files, and opening completed downloads. This feature took considerable effort. EFV administration configures the required points and permission duration, with download links expiring after 24 hours by default.

Features

  • One: Tap Download on the playback page. The download API checks for purchased, unexpired permission and starts background downloading if valid.
  • Two: Without permission or after expiry, the price is requested and a dialog shows the point cost and duration. Users can confirm or cancel.
  • Three: Confirming purchases permission with points. EFV checks for a downloadable mp4; if present, it deducts points and returns a time-limited download URL.
  • Four: If no downloadable MP4 exists, segments are assembled into an mp4 in seconds and returned to the APP.
  • Five: After receiving the URL, the APP starts background downloading with live notification progress.
  • Six: Completion appears in the notification bar; tapping it starts playback.
  • Seven: Signed-in users access download management from their APP account page. View all downloads, delete or retry. Deleting a record also removes its downloaded file.
