2019-8-28: Advanced point-based viewing integrated with previews and purchases

Introduction

After extensive consideration and design, point-based viewing is complete. It works together with previews, so both must be enabled. Signed-in users with insufficient group permissions receive a 1-minute preview prompt and can purchase full viewing with points. The m3u8 URL stays the same throughout; the returned content changes according to group permissions and point purchases.

Updates

  • One: CMS administration gains a point-based viewing toggle and default point price, requiring previews to be enabled too. (Each video can override the price; otherwise the default applies.)
  • Two: Previews, VIP groups and point-based viewing work together:
  1. Signed-out users are limited to a one-minute preview and must sign in for full viewing.
  2. Signed-in users without sufficient ordinary or VIP group permissions are told to upgrade or purchase full viewing with points.
  3. If the user bought that video with points, the full video is returned.
  4. Sufficient group permissions also return the full video.
  5. Regardless of attempts to hotlink M3U8, every external CMS receives only a 1-minute preview.
  6. Each video can set a point price; otherwise the CMS default applies without repetitive setup.
  • Three: Added simple video editing for title, description, point price, category and tags. Only the title is required; other fields are optional, avoiding the detailed editing screen.
  • Four: Added frontend compression for faster loading.
  • Five: Added an aria2 integration script for Advanced and Pure. It downloads direct links, BT and magnet links, automatically finds and downloads matching Chinese subtitles, and moves both video and subtitles into the import directory for convenience.

Advantages: Sign-in status, ordinary groups, VIP groups and point purchases form one system. For every M3U8 request it evaluates sign-in, ordinary and VIP permissions and purchase status, intelligently returning different content. It also protects M3U8 from hotlinking: third-party playback lacks sign-in information and receives only a 1-minute preview. This brings together point-based viewing in the CMS.

Examples: moejj Zombie Site(point viewing, previews, check-ins and category aggregation; sign in to try) Leimu Lamu (VIP groups, tag aggregation and multiple resolutions).
