Advanced GPU transcoding 2019-8-18 update: MP4 downloads and gif posters

Introduction

Advanced received another small update on 2019-8-18, focused on the frontend CMS. Hovering over movie posters on the home page now shows an animated preview. Playback pages also offer downloads of the designated transcoded MP4.

Updates

1. Animated posters

A static poster appears normally; hovering displays an animated poster.

2. Downloads on playback pages

Enable downloads in CMS administration and choose which resolution's MP4 is available. It must match a resolution configured to retain its transcoded mp4.

Animated posters may later evolve into roughly 10-second preview videos: combine several excerpts, transcode at low resolution and remove audio. The design is complete and awaits implementation.
