Intended use

This CDN is a simple caching companion to EFV, permanently free. Installation and management are automated through EFV administration. It caches EFV m3u8, ts, png, jpeg, webp, mp4, gif, key, txt and jpg resources.

Combine it with scheduled route switching in efv. During external-network congestion, such as evenings from 9:30-12:30, switch automatically to specified routes. One or more cdn nodes then serve playback segments, reducing operating costs by over 50%.

Caching rules

1. The cdn system has a 100% cache hit rate: every video resource accessed through the cdn domain is cached 100% on the cdn server, eliminating concerns about hits.
2. A built-in capacity limit allows caching up to 85% of total server capacity, protecting other processes. Caching stops above 85% and resumes automatically below 85%.
3. Configure how long unused cache entries are retained. At 60% capacity, older unused entries with fewer than 10 accesses are also cleared automatically; entries with more than 10 accesses remain until expiration.
4. Configure one or more hotlink allowlists. Only specified websites can play CDN-cached m3u8, ts and other resources; other websites receive 403 Unauthorized.
5. A built-in CDN image-processing API lets you replace image URLs with API URLs to accelerate loading.
